Yaldabaoth kills the phantom thieves, but is defeated when Joker summons Satanael. Just before Joker pulls the trigger, Yaldabaoth offers a deal with 3 conditions.1. The thieves will be brought back to life.2. Any memory of Akira will be erased. He'll be unable to reforge his bonds.3. Joker spares Yaldabaoth. Since Yaldabaoth's power is depleted, he won't re-emerge for a long time. Guilt-ridden over the deaths of his friends, Joker accepts the deal, bringing them back, but erasing the world's memory of him in return. 8 years later, Yaldabaoth is approaching full power and Akira learns that his impending return has weakened the deal's influence on reality. This means that he can now remind the world of who he is.Akira, still filled with guilt, now sets off on a journey to reforge his bonds with the thieves and restore their memories of him one by one before their final fight against Yaldabaoth.

So this is just some background info for the world of TPO. It's meant to explain how the world in it got to It's current state. It's not entirely realistic, especially with things like communist America and Rodzaevsky reuniting Russia, but fortunately P5 gives me a clever handwave in Yaldabaoth, who I can just use to explain all the weird shit as something that he caused. This is primarily inspired by TNO of course, with some elements from Extremis Ultimis, like extra historical forces, a stronger great recession, and a lot of things in the section for America. Disclaimer: Persona is owned by Atlas, HOI4 is owned by Paradox Interactive, and TNO and Extremis Ultimis are owned by their respective mod teams.
