You & I

by rhysothy

“Hi! Oh, it’s so great you’re here!” The giant had a deep and silky voice, which sustained all of his cheerfulness and then some. Giving him another look from top to bottom, Timothy seemed even more confused. Drawing his eyebrows together, he asked, “Can I help you?” Usually, his resentful tone was enough to chase those wannabe sensationalists away. This time, for whatever reason, that cheerful smiley guy remained. “I’m Ryland Russel!” Not only did his energy not drop but so didn’t his enthusiasm. All of this would’ve been enough for Timothy to further disregard his attempts. If only he didn’t continue it with, “I’m not from around your lab, actually I study engineering. And I’m your partner for this year’s project!” Or how one project forever changed Timothy's and Ryland's lives.

A Table For One (Plus One)

by lavendericecoffee

She called off her colleagues, grabbed herself a donut, a small black coffee and walked towards the exit to join them again. Not until her phone rang notification as the last bit of coffee shop WI-FI clung onto her phone. Surprised, she took it on her way out, just to quickly check it out. However with this type of notification? She really needed to sit in place. The notification was for Tinder. Matching her with some guy called Oscar. Or how Mattie went on a date with an enticing and mysterious stranger.

Say You Love Me

by rhysothy

All the mornings were better if he literally had eaten anything nearby him. So he grabbed what was available and started to enjoy the morning, either or. Thinking of everything, near and far, trying to figure out if the schedule even changed at all. A lot of the time, scribbling notes and drawings on his notepad, keeping everything in position. But when his mornings didn’t include him by his side, they simply felt… Shallow. Lacking. Like he knew his day didn’t begin if he wasn’t there. Or 5 times Ryland said “I love you” first and 1 time Timothy had said it first.
