What's worse than being gay on a hockey team? The consequences of losing a tight game. For Lucas Sampson, the hazing and harassment he experiences on the Juniper Bushmen is almost enough to drive him to quit. However, he refuses to give his dad any proof that he was right, and so endures everything as coolly as he can. When the most recent loss leads to him being taped up in the rival teams shower room, Lucas expects the worse, not the rival team treating him better than his own.
