Funeral Flowers Scorched

by GawrButterQueen

"She beamed, taking his hand in her own as she led them down the hill for a long anticipated day together. She jittered with excitement for what the day would bring, excited to see it all with Dennel…… the reaper who undeniably stole her heart."Hu Tao's grown smitten with a strange friend she's grown close to after a chance encounter from a while back. He doesn't have the ability to reciprocate her feelings, if he would at all, but she's perfectly content with them staying as nothing more, so long as she still gets to spend time with him. Unfortunately for her, her unrequited love manifests itself through an illness that threatens her life. With the object of her affections mysteriously absent, and her sickness growing worse over time, she's not sure if she'll live to see him again...(Remake of my old story "May Death Bring Me Peace")

May Death Bring Me Peace

by BernieFan7

"She wanted to weep, to cry out and scream. Not just from the pain of the flowers, but because of her rapidly crumbling life. Every waking moment became a nightmare. Her throat constantly searing with pain, her heart aching from love gone unreturned, her head wrecked from stress and panic. Her life was unraveling, and she just wanted her suffering to end already."Hu Tao falls in love with a mysterious friend she's grown fond of. He's unable to love her back but she doesn't mind. Her crush requited or not, she's content with where they are now. Unfortunately, fate has other plans as she begins to suffer the consequences of such a relationship.
