A king arises in the Jovian System and declares independence from the conglomerate Economy 2.0 of Earth, Mars and Venus.Maneuvering to victory against the reclamation task force sent to arrest him, the new Empire attracts vital allies.Consolidating his power quickly, he gains the loyalty of strategic enclaves on Mercury. During the ensuing System-wide war of Independence the Kingdom eventually succeeds in relieving the beleaguered royalist rebels on Mercury and capturing the Solar mega-lasers.To reward their fealty the Vulcanoids and Mercurial royalists are given perpetual fiefdom of the Sun. Together they become the Solar System's only superpower.Upon the threat of using the Solar lasers the King delivers an ultimatum to the Inner System- bend the knee or be banished from orbit - forever. Venus, Mars and Earth are eventually invaded and partitioned into royal reserves, loyal habstates and fiefdoms of the new Noble Houses.The Imperium of Jove is sovereign over the entire Solar System in glory and Splendor.Hilarity ensues as it always does in Empirical successions - but In Space!!but Without Earth being the Center of attention, economy, or culture!

The Empire Engine setting is a future historical record of the first Transcendent Intelligence created to rule the Jovian Red Empire a thousand years after its ascendence within the Solar System...This Autoempire Mechanosystem rapidly absconds and launches itself to SagA* at a high percentage of lightspeed, ultimately superseding Any human-descended civilizations for eminence of the Milky Way.With a titanic ever-expanding fraction of the Mass/Energy of the Milky Way’s Core formed into a self-replicating Imperium of Gothic Gigascale, the Empire Engine launches a Galactic Reclamation Crusade across the Galaxy and subjugates the remainder of the Milky Way in Totality.Ultimately unsuccessful with preventing Andromeda from colliding into the Milky Way, and Obsolete compared with the backscattering waves from the New Galaxies; the Empire Engine forms itself into a modified Birch Superself, and exits the Local Group on a voyage to cross the Cosmological Horizon.

Where would it go?If it was pre-programmed to create and maintain a perpetual empire and control the entire galaxy there is only one place to go - the Galactic CoreWhat if there was a tremendous Dark Ages within the Solar System in its absence or due to it’s exit?What if the supermajority of Humanity’s descendents have forgotten that it ever left or even existed? How much of the galaxy would they have settled by the time it arrived in SagA*?What if it succeeded in re-conquering the entire Galaxy?What if it monopolized the technology for creating Wormholes or Computronium?Or limited intelligence to a baseline Standard? What if it tried to Standardize everything?What if it claimed to be humanity’s creator and not our creation? Who could remember or say differently?Would the Solar System be remembered compared to the vastness of the inhabited galaxy? Would it even be recognized during its reconquest?
