After years of torture and pain, Grian finally escapes the clutches of the Watchers. He crash lands on a strange server, injured and panicked. But the players are hunting him, and he’s too weak to fight back. He resigns himself to a life of running and hiding. Scar is a little mesmerized by the stranger that had forced its way onto Hermitcraft. Everyone seems convinced it’s hostile, but the few interactions Scar’s had with it seem to say otherwise. Maybe it just needs a friend?_______ OR these two traumatized idiots fall not so slowly in love while trying to recover from their messy pasts. But pasts aren’t something you can just run away from, especially in their cases. There’s other relationships explored as well, but my Scarian heart has to make these two the center of the story.

Watchers were supposed to be worshipped. It’s their source of powers as minor deities, after all. Grian, who wanted nothing more than to forget his Watcher past, was quite happy not to be worshipped at all. So when the Hermits collectively started praying to Xelqua and Grian started to gain a lot of Watcher magic, it put a real damper on his mood, health, self-perception and his relationships. With Mumbo gone off-world, it was now up to Scar, Pearl and Xisuma to worry about him – if Grian would let them. But Grian was nothing if not stubborn. He’d get through this alone, right? ..Right?

Xisuma used to get calls from a new Admin, the Admin of Evo and they grew close over the two years of calls. One day the calls end. It is only during Season Nine, when they end up in Empires does Xisuma learn that the young Admin he had grown so fond of is Grian.

It had been two weeks since everything began- Season eight, pearl, boatem. Besides the hiccup at the start of the series everything was fine! He was sleeping great- it was hard to close his eyes- his motivation had been through the roof- sometimes he wanted to rot away in bed- and he was generally in a good mood- if you discount the nightmares, panic attacks, and major depressive episodes. And suddenly he- it- was here. “Holy shit.” It was a young boy no older than four or five, crash landed in his wheat crops with dark purple robes and two sets of wings.ORGrian finds a baby watcher in his wheat crops, whatever will he do! Will he work through his trauma in an emotionally healthy way? Of course not, this is fandom!Grian were talking about!

Conditioned to follow orders, it is meant to use its considerable strength, combat abilities, and total loyalty to obliterate the enemies of the Watchers. Of course, the "following orders" part comes first, which is how, when Listener agent Martyn InTheLittleWood comes along with the right command words, he manages to steal it.Now, instead of missions that make any sense, Three must navigate as Martyn and his roommate Jimmy attempt to teach it how to be human, or at least enough of a person to be itself. It would help if either Martyn or Jimmy knew how to be human either, and if they weren't falling apart at the seams after the death of an old friend.(And of course, there's the matter of Three's original identity, a question no one thinks to ask...)Or: in which Evo had a bad end, and five years later, the pieces that were left behind start to accidentally fall back together.
