You might also end up with kids hanging around you, it happens sometimes. This is your practice round. One member of your party goes back to about six years old; you might get some variance between species on the specifics. Due at the end of the week is a ten page report on what you did, challenges you faced and how you overcame them, and a plan of action for future encounters." He produces a set of dice from his pocket and slaps them down on the table. "You'll roll for who takes the dip down memory lane. Now who's first?"

And now Riz is thinking about Fabian, and how he got hurt, and how it’s his fault. ‘You didn’t possess Fabian,’ a little piece of him whispers. ‘You didn’t try to drown him,’ it says, and it’s right, but Riz hadn’t stopped it either. It had been his job to watch over Fabian, to make sure he was okay, and Riz had been too busy sleeping to make sure he was safe. Riz thinks about all the ways he could’ve kept tonight from happening, of all the things he could’ve done differently, of all ways he could fix this--Which makes him ask, “Can I touch your scar?”-Riz grapples with being Fabian's best friend, his own feelings and desires, and the realization that they don't have to be exclusive.(Or Mac thought too hard about Riz comforting and touching Fabian's scar after Pirate Brawl and blacked out to write 4.1k about it. Spoilers for Sophomore Year Episode 6!)
