On Red’s eleventh birthday, a man with no eyes gives him a letter inviting him to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Hoping to find more from life, Red leaves the cupboard under the stairs where he sleeps and dreams of becoming a Pokémon Master to embark on a very strange journey in a world filled with people whose hair defies gravity, strange social conventions (including an inexplicable disdain for pokemon) and the leftovers of the evil Team Rocket. Team Rocket always seems to be altering between trying to kill him and revive their fallen leader, the Dark Lord Giovanni — or at least his cause. Aided by his new best friends (Gold, Black and N) and sometimes even his rivals, Red tries his best to stop Team Rocket, fulfil his destiny, find his place in the magical world and still works on the side on that Pokémon Master dream. It's a lot of weight on one kid's shoulders. (So basically it's Harry Potter redone with Pokémon characters, quickly becoming its own story with its own rules and stakes.)
