Alex was tired. They had just pulled an all-nighter trying to figure out how to defeat that pesky group of heroes that kept bothering them without ruining the city. It wasn’t exactly the city they were worried about, it’s not like it would be that much of a struggle to just skip town, it was just that this city had a coffee shop that happened to sell the best coffee Alex had ever tasted and it would be a shame for it to get ruined in the fight. That’s all there is to it, no other reason.

Ok. Ok just don’t freak out. Everything will be ok, there’s no need to skip town. Not that that would help, they could easily find me. I mean, it’s not like they are going to…to what, blow down the door and make a big deal out of a little spilled mulch? I’m sure they have better things to do. They are always super busy and you never know, maybe they didn’t even notice! Yeah I mean, why would they care?
