Now, Silas was by no means an expert on alcohol and its effects, nor was he entirely sober himself, but watching the younger von Kruger, Silas could tell he had something (or multiple things) to drink. or, in other words, Silas takes care of a drunk Jan, for totally absolutely no other reason than the murder plot Silas has devised with his brother.

It made no sense. He was well aware that Jan was not adept with weapons. It was always Timothy who had been more interested in that, as far as he remembers. So his finger twitching seemed to just be an odd coincidence. “I’ll take your worries into account, Mr. Von Kruger.” He has no intention to stop drinking. “Jan. Call me Jan. We are friends, aren’t we?” Friends. It’s not something Silas was sure he could accept, but he does anyway, because he feels as though making an enemy of Jan was a bad idea. Or, in another loop, neither Silas nor Jan can understand why they feel so drawn to each-other.
