I like you.” “Yeah,” says Natsuki, who is giving Yuki a certain sideways look that he'd rather step off the harbour wall than face straight on, “you’re not bad.” (Festival season comes to Enoshima; and, around the same time, Yuki decides he's spent way too long Googling 'how to kiss an alien'.)

“So is this – are you just visiting, or…?” “I’m gonna go home again,” says Haru. “Oh,” says Yuki, “okay. That’s, I guess, that’s right. Right.” “One day! But not yet. Not for ages, probably!” The last of the tuna sandwich disappears. A moment later, Haru burps: and then he twists right round in his seat and yells, in delight, straight into Yuki’s face. “I forgot that! I forgot about burps! Yuki, do a burp!” (Haru leaves, and Haru comes back; and nothing ever gets any less strange, but Yuki feels like that's probably okay.)

"I wanted to thank Yuki for everything he's done for me while I've been here." Haru scratched his head, "I saw a student give a girl flowers and to thank him she kissed him on the cheek. When I did it to Yuki, he got really mad at me and ran away."

“You’re not Suigetsu,” says Sasuke, his tone very level and his katana also very level. “Ummm,” says the boy, “um, um. Um.” He tilts his head for a moment, as though giving this serious consideration, before flinging up his arms and declaring, in a voice so loud that the stone walls echo with it: “No! I’m Haru! I’m an alien! I like your big rope!” (Haru joins Taka. Suigetsu moves in with the Sanada family. It's a very, very watery crossover.)

They don’t run on water, and humans are in charge of them! And I know that humans aren’t properly waterproof, and about bread, and what shoelaces do! But maaainly – fishing! Fish fish fish fish fishing! Coco, Cococo-chan, can we try fishing yet?” (Haru's first day in Enoshima is also his first day on Earth, but he's not the kind of overenthusiastic fish alien who'd ever let complete bewilderment hold him back.)
