She could almost pretend that nothing was wrong today, and she found herself relaxing.That proved to be a mistake, as the moment her guard dropped, the voices of the Ancients began screaming in her head.Ina took a sharp, pained intake of breath. She dropped her brush as she clutched her head, falling to the tiled floor. She curled up into a ball, feeling tears starting to fall down her cheeks and beginning to hyperventilate. Her eyes were closed tight and her hands covered her ears, knowing that lights and sounds only made it worse. Her thoughts were getting a bit muddled, but still, she silently prayed.

The electric-girl blinked hard, quickly taking another gulp of her drink. It was still hot and burned her throat from the speed, making her cough. She shakily put it back down while pounding her chest. Her breath remained raspy as she settled back down, but she took some satisfaction in that those voices had quieted down for the moment.Looking back outside, she let out a sigh, better able to appreciate the view now. It did nothing to improve her mood, but... it was calming, in a way. Seeing that despite how messy she was feeling, the world was continuing on. She could picture all her friends getting up for the day to do their own things, not affected by her gloomy morning. The last thing she wanted was for them to be sad because of what she was going through....It would not be their problem for much longer, regardless.
