Alright.Maybe Dad was right about him needing to talk to other people more.But then a portal opened in the meadow.And what reasonable reaction was to ready the sword you started carrying around everyday because of paranoia? Hell, even Runa couldn't blame him! She was getting ready too!So when two things started getting out of the portal, Chael prepared a lunge and an attack.And then he did and its a guy with spiky black hair, a ridiculously long beard, and wings. He honestly didn’t think much about Chael skipping training. That kid may be shy but he was loud, thus he heard his and Runa’s quarrel about running off and getting Frey a gift. More specifically, getting a bouquet of her favorite flowers. And what kind of father was he to stop him? So he tells him he’s busy and smiles as the two head to the clearing, shaking his head half heartedly.They can always train later.And when Frey visits, he just couldn’t resist. With amusement, he tells her before she asks where Chael was. He sees through her denial of wanting to see Runa with a chuckle and says she should come back later with Chael by lunch.And that’s what he believed for a few hours.But as the morning sun rises to its highest peak, he peers through from the front door to see no silhouettes running its way towards him.Was finding flowers that hard?Sure, he knows nothing about romance but surely they’d find what kind of flowers Frey would like in a few hours, right?Right?
