Padme Amidala has always had to remain polite and uncontroversial. As a politician who represented her people and a celebrity, she rarely had a private life. She remembers the night when Anakin asked her to have a child, something that would be scandalous for both of them. She almost couldn't believe he was serious. But she agrees because he assures her that they have nothing to worry about, and because she wants it, too. As she feels the life growing inside her, Padme thinks about her baby and what kind of galaxy she wants him or her to grow up in. Not seeing much around her that fits with this image, with the corruption, vice and hypocrisy she finds in the Senate and the galaxy, she resolves to do something just to start a conversation. She begins by shining a light on the mistreatment of slaves and clones in the Republic. As the conversation escalates into a fight, she tries to find positive things to focus on, such as the universality of goodness and love.An attempt to make a believable case for the conception of the twins.
