He had torn the covers off of himself before rushing to the bathroom, practically collapsing in front of the toilet before vomiting everything he’d eaten for lunch and dinner. After a couple of minutes, Patton had stirred sleepily from the bed and wandered into the bathroom to find the sorrowing sight, bending down and rubbing calming circles into Virgil’s back as he spat up bile.
