There’s a dog and a prison and a woman and an east wind, and Sherlock’s struggling in a dark pit, chasing up endless stairwells, down alleys and streets and over rooftops, following John, always trying to reach him, and John is always beyond his reach, but John – John needs him. John needs him, and he needs John, and he flies, flies faster than the dreamscape, and reaches, and believes – And catches John’s hand in his own.
