Marinette has been managing a small business, working as class president, helping out at the bakery, doing work as the Guardian, saving the city, and possibly the world daily. Sadly, wasn't any closer to finding Hawkmoth's identity. She was also stretched thin and not at her peak mental health. Regardless, she had her Court established and with that, she acquired a support system to help her with the 'Lila Problem' and with fighting the akumas. However, with Batfamily finding out about the situation in Paris during a penpal activity her school made her go through, changes are coming. If these changes include finding more friends, family, and maybe a gorgeous boyfriend, who was she to say no?

Snap him out of it, or something, since you're his friend.” Best friend, Buck mentally corrects. “Wh—what,” he swallows, trying to steady his voice. “What do you mean? What's wrong with Eddie?” Tommy sighs through the phone. “I don't know. One minute he was fine, and the next it was like…like he wasn't even here. He got all pale and started shaking, and he won't respond to anything I do or say. It's like he can't see or hear me. It's a little freaky.” or; Eddie completely shuts down while in the helicopter on the way to Vegas, and Buck comes to help.
