Their roles had been switched so suddenly; GLaDOS depended on Chell for survival, and if she was honest, Chell didn't need GLaDOS in the slightest. Anyway, GLaDOS was stuck in a human body and neither of them had the faintest idea of how to fix that. Maybe Chell didn't want to fix it.
