After leaving for a routine Shinra mission, Second Class SOLDIER Zack Fair is called back to base unexpectedly. A fire has spread over the entire base and his best friend Cadet Strife is missing. Zack bolts home to quell the flames, and more importantly, find Cloud. Written because I wanted to see an intense scene of Zack searching for Cloud in the aftermath of a huge fire, freaking out when he DOESN'T find him and then when he DOES. Enjoy 7k of that.
