Though, truly, what the hell else was he supposed to say? No, Sky, don’t feel bad, you’re not silly, because actually, we’re not together, despite the fact that apparently the entire city thinks otherwise? That wouldn’t make things awkward at all. Sky beamed, clearly relieved. “Oh, good! I was worried for a second there. But really, I think it’s great. You two just… fit, you know?” Jayce did not, in fact, know. OR: Viktor kisses Jayce instead of telling Sky he isn't interested like a normal person. Cue the gossip mill, and Jayce and Viktor pretend to be in a relationship until it dies down. For purely practical reasons, of course.
