What follows are the tales of Café Owner Aizawa who hasn’t adopted several kids, intimidated the local gangs, scared off the pimps and caused multiple villains and heroes to catch feels for him, no sir; he just serves drinks, provides decent food and helps struggling students with their homework. In a way, Steve was kind of grateful for the swift intervention. He knew now, after all, that most people in the world didn't have the ability to pick out people's emotions, and in a town like Hawkins he wouldn't have lasted long if he commented on every feeling he encountered. It was the reason why despite everything, he had turned out normal, despite all of life's attempts to turn him into something other than a popular somewhat dim-witted jock. And then one day he’d walked into the Byers household and been slapped in the face with the most godawful aura he'd ever experienced in his life, and he just knew he wasn’t going to be coming back from this. or: Steve has secret powers, which isn't really an issue except he's now dealing with his unexpected feelings(tm) for one Eddie Munson and suddenly things just got a lot more complicated. Also, he has the nasty habit of blowing shit up when he gets stressed which makes the whole 'secret' part of his powers hard. The situation is totally and completely under his control, he just has to plan this stupid 'We saved the world (again)' party and he should be fine. Totally fine.

His tone is far more light and friendly than Scott usually hears from some of the other players— which makes sense. Hollander isn’t known for his shit-talking, in fact he’s known for his complete lack of on-ice antagonization. Hollander plays a very clean game, lets his skill on the ice stand for itself. Scott should just make his own quick quip in response and skate off. Something that matches Hollander’s energy. But Scott isn’t feeling very light, nor is he feeling particularly friendly.Or: Scott Hunter's fight with Shane Hollander, and what follows. (Can be read as a standalone)

That if Lilith fell then so would he, bloodied and beaten if he had to (there was no winning, they both knew it back then). But that he’d protect them the best he could nonetheless. But Mammon’s bruises weren’t protection. And being called scum wasn’t love.
