It's Apparent
by JustSmileStuffHappens (ksz13)
Prompt: Eddie's parents are once again berating Eddie and pressuring him to yet again come back to Texas. Eddie's mom is particularly cutting with her words, and then Eddie's mom and Dad feel this frigid, menacing presence behind them. They turn to see Buck staring at them with the coldest eyes and looking angry in a way the NO ONE has ever seen him get. He towers over Ramon and Elena and when he speaks, it is a single word "Apologize." Color Eddie a bit scared and a lot turned on.

Reckless Endangerment
by foxysquid
Klavier writes songs about seizing the day and throwing caution to the wind. Songs that Apollo hates. However, it's possible that certain amateur music critics know at least as much about recklessness as musicians.

I don’t know know about the Romans though, they seemed a bit trigger happy-”Trigger happy?!Internally, Hazel seethes. These fucking greeks. They come into her camp, attack her praetor and friend, fire on her civilians - most of which are children under thirteen and battle weary adults with physical disabilities and PTSD and now they have the fucking audacity to call the romans trigger happy?Fuck them.

Addressing the Actual Elephant
by Solemini (SoleminiSanction)
“Jesus Christ, Steph,” Tim sighed in frustration and raked a hand through his hair. “You care more about me not telling you there was an elephant than about the fact that there was a rampaging elephant. You only care about my problems when you can make them about you.” Coming out isn't always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, break-ups should hurt, at least a little.

Afterlife
by Nemuri no Shiromi (dreamingfifi)
What if Shinichi hadn't been found by the police directly after shrinking? What if he hadn't made it to Agasa's, and therefore, not been taken in by the Mouri's? What if his injuries were more realistic? Follow the plot in the DC manga and some of MK from this new perspective. I've also taken the liberty of modernizing the setting.Discontinued.

Star Trek: The Original Series
Star Trek Revisited
by PlaidAdder
A complete series of episode reviews written after re-watching all three seasons of Star Trek (the original series) between 2011-2013. Each review consists of a plot synopsis (rendered as entertaining as possible) followed by analysis/reflection. These reviews were originally posted on LiveJournal. I am crossposting them here, where it is much easier to keep the whole series in one place. I first became a fan of TOS in the 1980s when I was an adolescent girl. I am now a middle-aged lesbian who, let's say, knows a lot more about gender issues than I did back then. There will be some discussion of same. If you're not interested in gender politics, you might not have a whole lot of fun with these reviews. If you are, though, you may discover that gender in TOS is actually more complicated--a Vulcan might even call it fascinating--than it might at first appear. I love the show, but I do not love it uncritically. I believe there is much to be learned by asking the question: Exactly why and how did this particular episode get this bad? Oh, also, I see slash people. But in TOS, believe me, it's there. And not just because we want it to be there, either. Enjoy!
