He advocates for their release and training while carefully controlling how much truth to reveal. Cassandra reacts sharply to details in the guard's report that hit close to home. After she leaves, Leliana lingers for a pointed private exchange. The scene closes with Solas alone, processing new information about them that reframes his understanding of the person he's agreed to protect.
