by shizunsrighttiddie (orphan_account)

Shen Yuan is transmigrated into the book that he died cursing, ‘Proud Immortal Demon Way’ even the title sounds half assed! What could the author have been thinking! But there's one problem... Shen Yuan hadn't grown up in China and only knew English...Oh god, his ancestors would roll over in their graves if they'd found out he forgot his mother tongue! Is this some kind of Devine punishment!? Good thing the system had subtitles! ...or not. He can now understand them but they can't understand him! What happens when the dignified Qing Jing peak lord goes through a minor Qi deviation and is now speaking another language? Obviously he's possessed! Or... not? No? Then how will they figure this communication error out!? Likewise, Shen QingQiu, the original, woke up next to... IS THAT BINGHE!? oh god... its worse... it's a life sized pillow version that he was hugging! And why is everyone around him speaking another language? WHY CANT HE FEEL HIS CORE OR SPIRITUAL VEINS!? at least he has his limbs back...

Merlin (TV)

The One Where Their

by Emjayelle

On a (possibly, most probably ill-advised) bet with Gwaine during their class trip to Quebec City, Arthur meets French-speaking Merlin. It shouldn't be a problem since he's first in his Conversational French class and all. Okay, maybe it's a bit more complicated in the end. But hey, as long as there's some kind of kissing happening before the end of the day he won't complain too much. And yeah, maybe he's never done this before, but he's not nervous. Nope. Not one bit.

beautiful boy

by azablue

Aang knew grief like an old friend. In his youth, it had been painful to grapple with the idea that the Air Nomads were gone, that he was truly alone. He knew deep down that no matter what he did, that weight on his shoulders was so heavy it would follow him into his next life. Spirits help his successor. But this time, it was different. This was new. The emptiness that often accompanied the pit in Aang’s stomach was replaced with something sickening. His body rejected the possibility of Bumi’s death like poison. It wasn’t real. He had to be alive. OR: When he's 19, Bumi II gets hurt in the United Forces and his family is told he is missing in action. Aang and Katara try to be there for their son and Tenzin and Kya navigate the new dynamic as friends and family rally aorund them. We explore family dynamics, being biracial, trauma, and being okay with being not okay.(includes cloud baby flashbacks!)

“What do you mean, it wasn’t the first time?” Nairobi asked, pouring herself a glass of wine. “It’s happened before. He randomly starts talking in different languages to me. He knows I don’t speak them, and yet he keeps doing it. Probably to mock me, why else would he do it?” Martín said. He inhaled deeply, taking the bottle of wine from her and setting it to his lips.-Or; the fic in which Andrés shows off his language skills by declaring his love to Martín in any language possible, but Martín doesn't understand a word of what he's saying and thinks Andrés is just insulting him.
