From this distance, with his back towards her, she can’t even see him breathe. Can’t see if he’s clenching his jaw in an effort to hold back emotion, can’t see if he tightens his grip on the console as if to prevent the news from bowling him over entirely. He’s impossible to read. The green tint of the rotor gives him an eerie coloring, and she’s suddenly hit by the fact that she doesn’t know this man, not right now, not at all. My take on the post-GITF trope, because it had to happen eventually.TW: panic attacks.

Doctor Who (2005)
by Spiritofeowyn
Instead of waiting on the spaceship Rose and Mickey play about in Versailles where Rose becomes Reinette's greatest rival for the Kings attention. The Doctor must save the timelines but becomes terrified that, Rose Marie Helene of Tourne, the mysterious lover of the King of France was always meant to be his Rose Tyler and he may unwittingly be the cause of losing her. A completely different GITF Fixit where Mickey (Mikeael of Morroco) becomes the hero and the Doctor ceases to be the center of attention. More Historically accurate than GITF. (Title from the popular medieval French poem)

Sequel to 'A day like any other'. Do you think that only Matthew knows how to make nice surprises? Well, you are wrong. Very.
