Knowing that my husband, Steven Stone, was guarding the Pillar earlier, I rushed inside to see what was happening.After I entered the Pillar, I found that an enemy of Sootopolis had allowed herself to enter. The showdown that I experienced here was one of the most defining moments of my life.

In the forest, across the azure waters, a doglike creature stood in the shadows of the trees. Almost as if a dog, wolf and fox were mixed into one beautiful creation. Tall ears were stuck up and its fur was dense, a mixture of light greys and hints of very pale oranges. It was a small creature that stood frozen. Just staring at me. His eyes locked onto mine and I was startled – fearful even as this beast, unmoving and foreign to me, stared me down as if I was a small fawn with no mother to protect me. It soon disappeared and my heart thudded in my chest. I have no idea why I reacted the why I did. Perhaps the doglike animal scared the little fatherless boy in me."
