Deku is a feared vigilante. All hero's know his name and shudder at the thought of dealing with him. They fear him even though he has not actually killed a single person. The boy is best known for his skills in gathering information and setting buildings on fire. That's really all Nezu needed to know about the boy. He immediately started his plan to bring the boy to UA. He'd make a hero out of this pyromaniac of a vigilante.

The boy looked wary of his pointing, which was admittedly fair but also very frustrating. Luckily, all hesitation was cleared from his face when the kitten let out another pained mewl.Hitoshi watched, with more then a little wonder and awe, as the boy cooed and tittered at the cat, creeping closer and closer to it without the animal lashing out at all. In no time, The boy had taken off his hoodie and wrapped the kitten in it, making whispered promises to fix it right up.--or; Izuku takes in an injured stray and makes a friend.

“I can afford whatever I want because I have a part-time job, dumbass.” Kacchan sneers. “W-w-wait. Kacchan, you don’t mean... It’s not the same job as before, right?!” Izuku’s face is red to his roots, hand raised to his mouth as though the loose cage of his fingers might cradle the impact of his words. “Of course it is. Why the hell would I find another job when I’m already the best at this one?” “Oh.” Izuku’s voice is more of a squeak. OR: Canon!Katsuki moonlights as a model for cash. Also, he’s deaf. Also, he’s trans (but don’t worry, he doesn’t know the last part yet).

Bakugou really didn't expect to be pulled aside by his homeroom teacher on the first day of school. Who knew not replying to emails he received about his hearing loss over the summer was that big of a deal?-Or: Bakugou is hard of hearing. He's also struggling with the biggest load of internalized ableism Aizawa's ever seen.

“What does it mean?” Shouta frowns slightly, chewing on his slice of pie.“Hm?”“That. That...thing your mother just did.”“What? Um, refilling our cups? Signing to me?”“No, no, I know all of that already. I meant...the tapping. This.” Shouta sighs frustratedly, leaning forward to deliver three quick, successive taps to the top of his hand. Hizashi’s heart jumps.“I always see them doing it when we’re over, and I think I remember them doing it, sometimes, when we were younger too, but I don’t know of any JSL signs like that. Is it some sort of code? What does it mean?”“......Here.” Gently, Hizashi reaches across the table and takes Shouta’s hand in his.“Like this, not too quickly.” Three squeezes. He smiles affectionately at Shouta.“It means, ‘I love you’.” And Shouta’s face flushes red.

Bakugou's pretty shit at listening. Part of that is probably due to being hard of hearing, but another part of that is completely due to the fact that Bakugou's never had anyone to listen to. He's never had friends, and he's not used to carrying conversations that are receptive. He doesn't just not know how to listen, he doesn't know how to show he's listening. With Present Mic's help, and with Kirishima, he's starting to figure it out.

Bakugou keeps seeing Mic's fingers flick in a simple, familiar pattern when talking about him. He's determined to figure out what the sign means, even if he doesn't want anything to do with sign language.
