Eddie still hadn’t spoke, the probability of him also forgetting to blink a few times he was so caught up in his own thoughts also likely, considering how his eyes stung as he blinked, observing the fact Buck had shifted upward in his bed, rolling his shoulders in a taut shrug — so fast, Eddie almost narrowly missed the small wince, a scrunch of his nose and a pinch on his features disappearing in a quick flicker, he had made when he rolled his left, the side with the Lichtenberg figures marked on it, though they’d probably fade away soon; keyword almost.Buck’s light lashes flutter against his cheeks as he brings a hand to rub at the back of his head idly, whispering underneath his breath in a hushed tone. “No promises.”orEddie finally talks to Buck before he gets discharged from the hospital, and making Buck promise to at least attempt to be less reckless is all he needs to convey just how he feels.
