Christmas. Wufei understands the concept, in theory. It’s a Christian festival now mainly about shopping, with some guff about finding the true spirit of family and happiness tacked on. It’s something both sentimental and aspirational, which to Wufei summarises Duo in a nutshell. Duo is famously a people person in the exact way that Wufei is not, and Christmas is very much a people occasion. An occasion that Duo's not getting this year unless Wufei does something about it. Armed with 24 hours and an awful list of suggestions from the Internet, Wufei's on a mission to deliver a last-minute holiday. What Quatre saw when he opened the door were the tired, empty-headed, and soggy remains of his partner, whose knees gave way about eight seconds after Quatre had appeared, his brain finally processing the fact that the blond was actually there, assuming he would catch him. He did. He did, but he didn't appreciate Duo getting his pajamas all muddy and wet.
