just like old times (please don’t ever change)
by Rosslyn
Sometimes when Q is alone in his workshop and there is an experiment that needs to be supervised and he can’t go home and he can’t sleep, he watches Bond’s vitals.

as permanent as stone cathedrals
by pdameron
Q has been in love for two years, six months, and twelve days when James Bond walks away, leaving him with a bleeding head and a broken heart on a dark and noisy London bridge.

ordinary, everyday things
by pdameron
It is fourteen years after the Battle of Hogwarts that he finds himself at the helm of MI6’s Q Branch, 29 and thrilled and terrified and completely alone. (In which everything is the same except Q and Bond are both wizards and think the other is a muggle.)

Waiting Game
by dracoroxy
Q waits. He waits 12 days before he realises it wasn’t a hoax, or a diversion, or whatever else he figured Bond had up his sleeve. At 24 days Q finishes the Walther he programmed to Bond's palm, and puts it away safely for when Bond returns. At 40 days Q begins to wonder, with a curl in his stomach that feels a lot like dread, whether Bond will return at all.

if I couldnt be strong
by SailorChibi
But this? There was no excusing this as anything other than what it was. Pathetic longing, and a need to be close to Bond to comfort himself. Q couldn't even pretend that he was visiting Bond to keep the man company. No, this was about Q and the fact that the majority of his nightmares lately had featured an empty hospital bed and another trip to the local cemetery. "You need to wake up, you sodding prick," he said to Bond, not bothering to lower his voice. The only other sound in the room was the beep of the heart monitor. "I can destroy these people very easily, but I don't want to hear you whining about having missed out on the action later on."

A Game of Chance
by Celyan
James Bond’s return to Six after a two month holiday is merely a continuation of what makes Q’s life more challenging, but it’s not like he hasn’t got practice with dealing with troublesome double-oh agents, meddling friends, and gossiping minions, right? —The first thing M ever said to the new Quartermaster after 007 came back to life was, “For the love of god, whatever you do, do not fall in love with him.” Unfortunately for Q, she said that in front of his entire branch. The betting pool has been going on ever since.

the very sharp thing
by scioscribe
Bond is used to being a weapon; Q is used to making them. They can both learn better. Or, the one where you really can stay at home and still prefer not to kill people.

Keep On Keeping On
by SailorChibi
In the wake of everything that Blofield and C did and Bond's departure from MI6, Q just wants to get on with it. But life is never that easy; when Q is kidnapped, MI6's most tenacious and protective 00-agents will do anything to get him back and keep him safe.
