“You were lonely?” Asahi sounds like he can’t quite believe it. Yuu huffs on a laugh. He turns down one of the streets where he thinks there might be a hotel, and — yes, there’s a building with some lights on that looks like it could be a small hostel, maybe. “Yes, I was lonely. Everyone gets a little lonely sometimes. Mine just…followed me around the world.” Asahi doesn’t say anything for a moment. Yuu chances a look at him, finally, and Asahi is rubbing at his cheekbone, something he does when he’s thinking or embarrassed. Yuu’s not sure how or why he knows that after all this time or why he knows it in the first place. He tries not to think too hard about it. -- The more of the world Yuu sees, the bigger (and lonelier) it gets. Until Asahi.
