While on a mission dealing with a magical creature, Sara falls victim to it's hunting tactics: forcing the victim to relive their greatest fears and most painful moments, paralyzing them with fear. When she awakens from her ordeal, her state of mind is less than ideal. Ava has a hard time respecting Sara's boundaries due to her own anxiety. This is just Ava and Sara having mental health issues that can challenge relationships, and them learning how to navigate and respect each others struggles in a healthy way and being soft as fuck. Sometimes mental illness can drive partners to do things that can hurt each other without proper communication and I wanted to explore that. For all the neurodivergent/mentally ill folks out there (RIP), this is for you! Also sorry I keep updating this lmao my ADHD ass was way too impulsive and published the fic before it was ready. 99% sure this is the final version haha.
