Strange things are afoot. Sometimes Dean tells him he’s gonna put a load in the washer and then when Sam goes down to check on it… it’s empty. Sometimes Dean tells him that he’s going for a drive, in Baby, and yet, the GPS says she hasn’t left the garage. Other times Dean tells him he’s going to visit Donna for a few days but a few months later when they meet up, she tells Dean she hasn’t seen him in almost a year. The most popular excuse is going out to get laid. Sure, it’s a normal Dean thing. But is it normal that Dean doesn’t do it when Sam is there? Is it normal that when he does ‘head out lookin’ for a hot babe’ that he checks in to a hotel in Lebanon under the name Dean Campbell and doesn’t move for the next few hours? Initially, Sam had thought Dean was just pissed at him for something or the other. Then he realised. Dean’s actually with someone. Has been for the past year almost and hasn’t deemed Sam fit to bear such knowledge. Initially, he was jealous and a bit left out. That was initially. OR Red+Blue=Purple *wink wink*

Cas bites at his lower lip, looking uncommonly shy. Worry starts to stir in Dean’s gut, which is only compounded when Cas says something else in soft yet clear Enochian. As the new phrase doesn’t have the word stupid anywhere in it, Dean doesn’t have the slightest idea of what Cas is saying. The guilt squirming in his stomach gets worse when Cas looks at him, with gentle anticipation, as though he’s expecting a reply. Dean does what humans have been doing since the beginning of time when confronted with a language they don’t understand and smiles, wide and sunny, at Cas. Cas’ forehead creases but he returns the gesture. His eyes are still brimming over with emotion and the sight does something to Dean. Dean begins to suspect that he may have started something which he is not equipped to finish.

Dean and Cas thought they were sooo sly. Sooo good at keeping secrets. They didn’t know how wrong they were. So Sam had decided to keep track of how many times he caught them ‘just fixin’ the car Sammy, jeez’ or ‘just foldin’ clothes, what does it look like?’ or, maybe one of the most outrageous ones: ‘Cas doesn’t know how to take a shower Sam! I’m just helping him out, it’s what friends do.’ Yeah. Sure, just ‘dudes being dudes.’ No. No no no no no no NO. It had to stop. Sam didn’t give a flying fuck if Dean was fucking his angel. Hell it was about time. But what he couldn’t stand, absolutely could not stand, was the fucking ‘sneaking around’. Because they were terrible at it. If they were good it would be one thing. But they were so bad that Sam almost wondered if they just wanted an audience. Which was gross, but that was just how terrible they were at sneaking around. So get this, Sam had a plan. He was going to record every time he witnessed their ‘sneaking around’ or the result of it. And then he was going to show his observations to Dean.
