Donnie often found it easier to ignore, rather than accept. He would ignore the cuts and scrapes on his hands after working on an invention for too long. He would ignore the looks Leo gave him after he was in his lab(also for too long), and then ignore the uncomfortably long and tight hugs Mikey gave him that followed Leo’s looks. He would ignore Raph’s long and never-ending rants about how he should take care of himself. Now, he ignored everything. He ignored when Leo banged on the door of his lab yelling for him to come out, he ignored Mikey’s worried statements, he ignored the gross slimy feeling that took over his entire body every once in a while. He ignored how Raph almost knocked the door of his lab down every few hours, fixing it in complete silence. He ignored texts from April, and he ignored the burning sensation that flooded through his hands and arms. He ignored the emptiness in his chest and the pain in his head. He mindlessly worked, drawing out random blueprints for things he didn't need. He fused random metal scraps into random shapes. He did everything he could to forget.
