The wheat field isn't directly mentioned in the story "The Cat Who Walks By Himself" but is referred to in the picture Kipling drew to go with it. It seemed like a lot of work. "Oh, the cleverness of me!" - raided from Peter Pan, because why let a good line languish? This story has a bit to do with agriculture, and actually a lot to do with the last three cats that shared my house, who all had Thoughts about company during their nocturnal perambulations, and company outside in general. In the wake of the devastating attack on San Francisco a single image became the rallying point for Hope to the world. A young boy of about six or seven, small for his age, standing in the middle of the destroyed city. Eyes wide in incomprehension, he stares and reaches out. His fingers just brush the enormous nose of the Kaiju in front of him. He is ever so slightly backlit, giving him a soft glow, while the Kaiju is all harsh and sharp in the sunlight. No one knows how the boy survived the attack – just that he did; with only a peculiar scar on his forehead to show for it. He became the symbol for hope to the entire human race.

A 5 minute soundscape originally created as a gift for a friend, from the perspective of a sibling, ghoul or other devilish creature taking a walk through the abbey to go and visit a ghoul in their cabin on the abbey grounds. The soundscape was inspired by a combination of my own headcanons and the works of some amazing authors on the Ghost AO3 tag, in particular those of starsreside, Backwards_Blackbird and ephermeralgrime (especially ephemeralgrime's Fall Back Into Place).
