"Thankfully," says Ignis, "the spiders in this area aren’t of the venomous variety."Prompto perks up, and sets a paper bag of cookware on top of a rock. "Well, that's a relief.""Certain other species," says Ignis, "are not nearly so benign."Noct laughs a little at Prompto's face, which is caught somewhere between terror and disbelief. "C'mon, Specs, quit trolling him. He's gonna wish he didn't come."

Just the sight of him, standing there holding a cup of coffee, barrels through Prompto's brain like a puppy excited about going out for a walk – and before he even realizes what he's doing, he's fumbling for the camera. He snaps five shots, in quick succession: Ignis looking into the distance, expression soft and preoccupied. Ignis lifting the coffee. Ignis with his lips on the rim, taking a tentative taste. Ignis closing his eyes as though to savor it. Ignis with his eyes open again, looking directly toward the camera.Wait, thinks Prompto, as the last one burrows its way into his thoughts and starts setting off alarm bells. What?

"Love," Akechi says. Akira keeps quiet, watching every little glint of light in Akechi's eyes. "You didn't do anything wrong." "But you were under the control of a status ailment, it wasn't..." Akira gasps as Akechi kisses the corner of his lips. "I'm offended that you think a mere status effect would hold so much control over me for such a long time," he drawls. OrGoro got hit by a strange forget status effect. It may have brought his flirting to a new level that Akira has a hard time handling.

There was always something there. Something behind the pretenses and disagreements, beneath the obvious opposing beliefs, and Akira knew. He was aware, because despite popular belief, he was no fool. No, he was actually pretty clever. And just as a smart person would, he tried his best to ignore it simply because it was not supposed to happen. He didn’t expect it to happen, ever – let alone like this.Or; Akechi and Akira both get hit by an unfortunate status effect during a trip to Mementos and it makes things incredibly awkward.
