As a MASSIVE fan of the Birds of Prey, I think a lot about what a good TV series for the characters would be like. What follows here is essentially a season-by-season synopsis for how I would adapt the Birds to the silver screen. This takes HEAVY influence from Gail Simone's run on Birds of Prey (1999) which you should ABSOLUTELY read if you care about any of these characters. I'm using the true Birds of Prey team here, so Oracle (Barbara Gordon) leading her field operatives: Black Canary (Dinah Lance) and the Huntress (Helena Bertinelli). Some other characters will pop in and out, but those are the leads because they are iconic.

They arrived in the Milky Way millions of years ago, having spawned many new races in other galaxies with one in each carrying the Mantle of Responsibility, a role that put a race as the caretaker of life in a galaxy. It is unsure if there are Precursors in other galaxies that survive to this day. They created many races in the Milky Way, one of the first being the Forerunners.

This is an experiment where I imagine what the sequel trilogy could have looked like if I got the job to write the follow-up to The Force Awakens, and take it in whatever direction I wanted. If this is well received, I'll also do my version of Episode 9 within this continuity. The goal was to write something that addresses some of my biggest problems with how the trilogy turned out, but also just to be creative and make something really different just for fun.Not a sequel trilogy hater or Fandom Menace weirdo, don't worry, but I do wish a few things had been done differently, so I'm using the ideas and theories I liked most from back in the day, and tried my best to not overtly pull anything from the actual movie we got, with the exception of a few ideas that I think were just inevitabilities or make the most sense with what TFA set up.
