Dib woke up in his room but it looked... different? Messier? Almost like... oh god please no. He was face to face with his 13 year old self, who was pointing at him with his mouth open. Dib put his head between his legs and sighed loudly, "How did I forget about this???"Meanwhile, a younger Zim is marveling at his older, much taller counterpart. Said counterpart was weighing the pros and cons of kicking his younger self through a wall.A wrong calculation and poor coordination leads to Zim and Dib falling into a portal that sends them seven or eight years into the past. They need to find a way back to the future without causing too much damage in the past, but when has Zim every really been able to avoid causing at least a little chaos?Can be read as part of Idiot With a Cause or a one-shot. A decently long one shot.

They need to figure out how to get back to their own time without causing too much damage to the past, but when is anything ever that easy when it comes to these idiots?Can be read as part of Idiot With a Cause or as a one-shot.~-~-~-~Decided that since I'm rewriting the main story, it couldn't hurt to go back and do this one too since it was my favorite.

The doorbell rang and Dib had already been waiting for it, but he still took about 30 seconds before opening the door. On the other side was the expected sight of Zim, sans invader uniform in his summer clothes (shorts and a t shirt he’d bought from some department store, they were kid sized). His wig was wilting and his face was flushed from the heat. Dib leaned against the door jamb and made a point to take a long swig from his water bottle before saying anything to the glaring idiot standing on his porch.
