He comes in the night. A ranger of the North and an apparent friend of the Kingdom of Fyrien. His clothes are plain and worn his tunic holds not a single thread of nobility though his leather tired and his chainmail blacked like a warrior’s he shows no sign of being a knight. But then the only true thing he holds of value is the elven ring around the silver chain on his neck.

Imladris is in need of allies in the Mannish kingdoms of the East, the strongest among them Camelot. But Uther has set his kingdom on a path to ruin, and trouble is brewing. At this rate the crown prince won’t survive long enough to take the throne, let alone unite Albion. So what is to be done? Send in Erestor, the Spymaster of Imladris, of course! And so Merlin is born. (Or: Erestor has a mission to protect and guide the prince of Camelot. It's bad form to mix work with emotions, but every job goes wrong somehow.
