Discovering and writing in a new fandom is difficult, but especially in one whose culture you know nothing about. I started writing a The Untamed fic the other day, and ended up spending hours looking up reference posts and blog posts, in order to try and avoid the most obvious mistakes at least.Eventually, I ended with a lot of info, so here you go, useful stuff I found to understand this fandom:If you have anything to add, please do leave a message in the comments, I expect that everyone will be greatly happy to get new resources :)

[NEW SOURCES ADDED 6/21/2018] A compilation of links and resources used while writing World War II period piece, The Specialist in GhostCrumpet's Victory Girl verse, which isn't necessarily historically accurate, but pays homage to the zeitgeist/vocabulary/patterns of speech of the time during which it takes place. Until period accurate army resources can be located for certain army docs, modern army regs and rules may be listed instead, in some cases. (Also includes some writing/editing resources.)
Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold
by Conciliator_General
Are you plotting a fic set during one of the Vorkosigan saga novels? Do you need to know how many days take place between one event and another? These internal timelines are meant to help. *cannot fully account for gaps caused by differences in planetary day-lengths, unexpected relativistic effects of space travel, or authorial stretching of time for plot purposes
