The effects of the killing curse are well known. Direct contact leads to death. Simple. The effects of the killing curse on those that came into contact with it and survived? Unkown. Tony is called to pick up a small boy when his closest living relatives become unable to support him. The boy happens to have a lightning bolt shaped scar on his forehead. The child is non-verbal, and isn't potty trained. The cause is not well understood, as the usual indicators point towards a stroke. Brain activity is normal however, and so Tony must adapt to life with a little disabled boy. Watch as the Avengers love and nurture baby Harry.

And it’s the not knowing that succeeds in making Eddie feel a little out of his mind, like he no longer has a solid place to stand. Keep your theories, Eddie wants to say, pushing away everyone in a white coat that comes by to study Buck’s charts and gawk like they’re behind glass. I just want him back.   He was already interesting before your so-called miracle.  Recovery isn't linear. Beat up and stuffed in a freezer. Steve was beat up, naked, and stuffed in a freezer by his father just because he failed to put up his crutches after practically passing out from exhaustion on the couch. The brunette didn't know how long he was stuck in there, going through weird symptoms that he couldn't pin point. Was this because he was in a freezer cranked to its highest freezing level. Or is it because he's bleeding out? Maybe it's because it possibly time for him to take his meds, forcing him into withdrawals or maybe... Maybe it's something else entirely. Steve didn't stay awake long enough to feel when he was pulled out of said freezer by the safest hands he's known and rushed to the hospital. But what he does remember is waking up in the hospital, panicking and not feeling quite like he remembered.
