The Ink Under My Skin

When John and his army friends went out for the evening, John didn't expect to end up in a tattoo parlour, and he certainly didn't expect the instant attraction he'd feel for the tattoo artist.

Inked
by Spadesinspades
Just over a week ago, Kam and I were brought in on this awesome idea for taking over Red Pants Monday. So here's our contribution to Red Thong Monday, in honour of the amazingly talented Reapersun, of whom we are both big fans. --- Sherlock Holmes liked to watch. It had started innocently enough, John supposed. A simple command: "Take off your shirt." And he hadn't thought much of it. Sherlock had wanted to examine his ink, perhaps, and the clothing had been an obvious barrier. But as their relationship shifted ever so slightly, so too did Sherlock's motives. And then, quite unexpectedly, John's did as well.

Two Layers Deep
by UnrelentingHost
I was in Instanbul when I got it; just a tiny little collection of letters on the inside of my right forearm. It was a little over a year into my self-exile and I had been pondering over my decision for months by that point. It wasn't exactly a thoughtful, objective, conscious decision; it was a need, and I caved. So I walked into an insignificant tattoo parlour at the edge of the city and asked for three small but infinitely significant words to be etched into my skin.Conductor of light.

The Heart of Sherlock
by HumsHappily
Sherlock Holmes did not have a heart. Not one that he showed in public. There were a select few that were aware of the existence of his heart, Mrs.Hudson, John Watson. Molly Hooper and Greg Lestrade. Mycroft, occasionally, though such an occurrence was very rare. Heart in this case, being a metaphor for Sherlock, and his inability to express emotions in anyway that could be deemed “healthy”.
