Summary
Every moon, someone from the village of the valley must journey to the springs over the mountains with an offering for the water spirits that reside there. In exchange, the spirits grant blessings and protections to the village and all its people. They exist in a symbiotic and holy relationship; everyone loves the spirits and their magic.
Everyone, that is, except Keith.
When he is summoned to the springs, Keith must set aside his old grudges and journey over the mountains. Here he will find magic--which he was expecting--and a really cute boy, which he was not.
But the earth beneath the valley is shaking. And when calamity comes calling, Keith will be called upon to decide the fates of spirits and people alike.
