The Holiday

In London, Hinata Shoyou writes a wedding column in a newspaper and nurtures an unrequited love for his colleague, Nishinoya Yu. Near Christmas, he is informed that Noya is engaged to marry another colleague, Asahi, and his life turns upside down. In Los Angeles, the movie-trailers maker Tsukishima Kei has just split with his unfaithful boyfriend Kuroo and wants to forget him. Through a house exchange website, Tsukki impulsively swaps his mansion for Hinata’s cottage in Surrey for the holidays. While in Surrey, Tsukishima meet Hinata’s brother and book editor Yamaguchi and they fall in love with each other. Meanwhile, Hinata meets his new next door neighbor the ninety year old screenplay writer Ukai Keishin, who helps him retrieve his self-esteem, and the film composer Kageyama, with whom he falls in love.
