Summary
Dean stands over Cas, who’s conked out on the couch. There's a blanket draped around his shoulders while the TV flickers in and out of an old M.A.S.H. rerun. Dean does this sometimes now, since Lucifer and Amara and freakin’ God. Since everything settled down and went quiet. No curses to break, no angels or demons to outrun, no apocalypse looming over their heads. They have a lot of time now. Dean takes seconds, minutes even, just to stop and look at his best friend because how in the hell did they manage to get him out? How did they manage to all end up just fine?
Dean watches Cas’ eyes flicker open, blinking against the blue-cast of the television. He looks up blearily and takes a deep breath, startled into wakefulness.
“You’re right. That is unsettling,” Cas grouses, sitting up and rubbing sleep from his eyes.
