He had been settling, curling around the insecurities and soaking into the discomfort until Midoriya admitted one night that Todoroki and alone were bleeding into each other.
So Todoroki has heard Midoriya swear. He has heard him sing bad pop songs and shout at horror movies, watched him smile unrestrained and free.
It was almost fitting that Todoroki and Todoroki alone watched him die.
