of lipgloss and kisses

It happened on the day Mimi spilled her lip gloss in her purse. It was a good one too- she had bought it at full price along with a cute dress, two pairs of high heels that were the most perfect shoes she had ever seen (one had pink glitter), and a few cute little pins that had gotten because they reminded her slightly of Palmon, who would most definitely had loved the pins (she had! Palmon had stuck some of them onto the little backpack she liked to carry around whenever she came for a visit from the Digital World. She looked wonderfully fashionable). Anyways- lipgloss. Mimi had been wearing it religiously for three months- her go to for school and afterschool and just whenever she wanted to feel cute. Which, well, she always was, but it was the matter of it all. She loved it- it made her lips look glossy and big and pouty and it made her wish that someone would go and kiss her lips while she had it on, like it was a shame no one ever did, she wanted to live like one of those beautiful girls in movies (a closeup of her lips pressing against hers, her hands on her shoulders, the camera showing how her painted fingernails ran through her short brown hair).
