I was still geeking out about The Desolation of Smaug (and writing tons of content for FtF) when the third season of BBC's Sherlock aired. So I took a break from The Hobbit... or so I thought.
But Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman haunted my dreams, and I ended up with a mash-up world. I thought, "Wouldn't it be terrifying if the dragon were a psychopath?" And then I thought, "But if the dragon's a psychopath, then Thorin's a high-functioning sociopath. And if Thorin's a high-functioning sociopath (with your phone number) then Bilbo is obviously a loose-cannon doctor with a taste for adrenaline... and none of this is any fun if at least one of them isn't female, so...."
