bring us back (to the heroes we were)

[ilsan; kim namjoon] the book lands on the floor with a dull gray sound when namjoon throws it against the wall. the open and now crumpled pages stare blankly at him. namjoon sighs and presses the palms of his hands so hard against his eyes he can count a few constellation of stars blinking behind his eyelids. a whale floats in front of his window, leaving the room in a dark blue shadow. namjoon waits for it to swim away before walking towards the ceiling-to-floor window. he presses his nose against the cold glass./[daegu; ???] he knew his book would have been criticized, he wasn’t expecting anything less. however, kim namjoon is a wound that never stopped bleeding, pomegranate and blueberries skin. sometimes he feels like his body is rotting from all this pain he’s been carrying with himself for the past few years.
