the ordinary traveler and the city of ink

He held the odd book in his arms, the leather bound pages glowing gold in the glint from the afternoon sun. It felt comfortable in his hands- the weight, a sense of familiarity attached to it. Izuku looked up from his seat by the window, hoping to see if anyone would claim the journal. No one. His attention back to where it had been previously, he begun to realize that the journal was heating up. Warmer, warmer… soon, he had to drop it, the leather burning him at the touch. As soon as he let go, the book glowed brightly, causing Izuku to shield his eyes from the light. He whipped his head around. Hoping to see if anyone had their attention on what was happening before them. But it was futile. Before he knew it, his entire vision was being clouded with the glowing light, glowing brighter and brighter until suddenly, he couldn’t see anymore. Nothing, beyond the white expanse.He was in a completely different world.Izuku Midoriya was simply a high schooler who never fit in. He never was anything special, never had much of anything to speak for. Always the plain one. And that’s just how it was. But when chance sweeps him off his feet and into a land of magic, well… things change quite a bit.
